What kinds of stories are passed on in your family? What do they tell you about your family?

The kinds of stories which are passed in my family are about where my ancestors lived, what they did when they were young, what jobs they were employed to and how many children they had. This tells that our family was pretty big, as in the Philippines, families would have a large amount of children.

What do you think the people of God might have thought was important to remember and pass on?

The memory of Jesus and how he sacrifised his life to save us from sins.

Why is the bible important to Christians?

The bible tells the story of God and the prophets words. As they believed in the coming of the Messiah, they would read scriptures to prepare the coming of him.

When do you hear the Bible being read?

In masses.

How is the Holy Spirit the author of the Bible?

The Holy Spirit was inside the people who wrote the bible and told them to spread the news that the Messiah was coming. Therefore, the Holy Spirit was writing the bible inside the people.

What do you think is the hope that Paul is referring to in his letter to the Romans?

The scriptures is the hope that Paul refers to in his letter. The scripture gives them hope that God will come from heaven down to Earth.

Code of Respect

You should respect a bible and deal no harm to it. Put the bible in a respectable place. Keep it in an altar or somewhere holy, instead of just letting it lay on the ground on the floor. Treat is as if it were a fragile feather. It contains many scriptures and many people have contributed to this sacred book. We believe that it is the word of God and it was written by the Holy Spirit.
